Jamila Appears in Breast Cancer Awareness PSA
Jamila Wideman in the latest WNBA player to be in a public service announcement promoting breast cancer awareness. The spot debuted during the Sacramento Monarchs at Houston Comets game on Friday, July 3 on Lifetime Television. The PSA wil continue to air during WNBA game programming on NBC, ESPN and Lifetime for the rest of the season.
In another 30-second spot, the Los Angeles Sparks point guard and other women discuss what sets them apart but Wideman adds, "Everyone is unique and we like the things that make us different. But all women have one thing in common -- we are all at risk for breast cancer."
Wideman's PSA is among a series of breast cancer awareness spots produced by NBA Entertainment featuring WNBA players. The spot offers viewers a phone number to call, 1-888-462-CURE, for more information.
